Goodbye mini p

My hamster mini-p died yesterday (Tue) morning probably around 5-6am. This post is dedicated in memory of her.
She came into our household in the evening of early Dec 2004 as a 2 month old baby. Unlike my previous encounter with hamsters, minip's personality was surprising by hamster standards. She love to be cuddled and enjoyed human company, often lying upside down as if inviting us to give her a little scratch on her tummy which she so enjoyed.
By Mid-2006, minip started developing complications to her health and soon went blind and deaf. But her determination and will to live was strong and she carried on living like any healthy hamster.
But her condition worsen and 2 months later on a monday night August 28, she developed breathing difficulties and was obviously suffering. I tried to make her feel as comfortable as possible and told her to try to sleep, i had to go away for a few hours as i could not bear to see her suffer in pain.
In the middle of the night i woke up and checked on her again, she was alright and was taking food and water. I felt something was wrong and that she couldn't have recovered so quickly.
My worst fears came true, and she passed away early on tuesday morning.
Your life was short lived but meaningful, determined to lived on despite taken ill. To my best friend, wherever you are, I know your sufferings are over, and you are happy.
Saaaturday Surprise
Well its not really a suprise. (I'm drinking my fav beer now, 'Coopers' pale ale, as I blog
Anyway I spent the afternoon at my grandma's watching dvds with my cousin shaun, with my grandma nagging at me about how easy army is nowaday.. etc etc, whatever.
This week was shopping weekend, so me, mom and sis went down to central to shop and makan. We wanted to go to Sakae (pronounce as SAR-KAI-E, NOT SAR-KAY) = haha Stupid Singaporeans and their half past 6 pronounciation. But the bloody queue was so bloody hell long, that we went to ajisen instead.
Well the food wasn't bad it was ok-so-so. The ramen noodles was nice (Volcano ramen + soft shell crab, Sashimi, Uni... eel thingy + Ice lemon tea), but the soup wasn't. I tried my sis's soup (Something cha-su ramen) and i realised, it all tasted the same, kinda salty salty and lacking in flavour. And my Volcano ramen, erm it wasn't as spicy as i thought.
Best was the side dish platter that came in a nice Japanese styled lunch-box layout. Oh.. the Sashimi was heavenly, i had 4 slices of maguro (tuna) to myself, it tasted so good. I hate to see people eating sashimi with generous amount of soy sauce and wasabi, kinda missing out the natural sweetness of the fish itself, when your nasal is suffering from the aftermath of wasabi over-dosage.

Next best was the soft shell crab, it was deep fried till golden yellow and i was expecting cooking oil to be gushing out from the first bite but no. The outside was crunchy while the insides were soft, succulent juicy bits of the crab itself.
Last but not least was the unri bla bla bla eel meat. It was my least favourite though my sis and mom liked it so much that they ordered a side dish full of it. It was pretty ok though, a little salty due to the black sauce but i guessed it was to cover the fishy smell the eel had.
Total bill = $54++ 2.5 pax cos mom just went around koping our food when we couldn't finish.

Next was onto shopping for my army stuff, my sis stuff, her perfume and makeup etc etc.. and oh i bought 3 bottles of Coopers pale ale, my favourite beer since 2002 when i first drank it a my cousin in law house, in Adelaide. Shall post a photo post of the stuff im bringing in to camp soon.

Wednesday Blues
Today i actually spent half a afternoon at TP after glenn, lk, Sh-m raided my house for porn. hahaha those bastards messed up my room and drawers and i just finish cleaning it up. 16 more days to enlistment friday =(
And YAY! day 2 of being smoke-free, another 3 more days and i would have broken my previous quit attempt record of 5 days. Yesterday a slight withdrawal kicked in, i felt very sucky and kept wanting to just have a puff but manage to restraint myself by drinking water continuously. Today its much better although i felt tired without a light. Gotta hang on!!
My Boring Monday
Ok my boring day, its really boring.
11.53am - Wake up
11.55am- Brush teeth / Wash Up
12.05pm- Made chrysanthenum tea
12.15pm- Packed up my swimming stuff
12.30pm- Left for swimming pool
12.45pm- swimming
01.15pm- Sun tanning
01.35pm- Showered
01.45pm- On the way to TP bustop
01.58pm- met lk and francis at kopitiam
02.00pm- took a ciggy from lk
02.05pm- Went 7-11 for a lemon barley
02.15pm- met glenn at TP bustop and had another ciggy
02.30pm- met CL, glenn and flagged a taxi to TM
02.45pm- Had lunch at cartel menu as follows, 3 of us had set A, breaded pork with tomato herb sauce, day soup (cream of chicken) and a loaf of bread, i had a 7-up, CL had a Iced peach tea, glenn had a Pepsi. Total including service charge and GST = $28.45
03.35pm- Left cartel and went to sembawang to look @ CDs
03.50pm- Went to toilet @ 4th floor CS
04.00pm- Went to laser discflair and looked @ more CDs
04.15pm- Went to TM MJ to look @ CDs
04.35pm- Played find it 2 at arcade, YAY got into top 8
05.00pm- Went to open area at TM to smoke
05.10pm- Walked to interchange to take 291
05.20pm- Took 291 and alighted at bustop nearest to TP area
05.35pm- Followed CL to his shop to return CD
05.45pm- CL walked home
06.00pm- Smoked my LAST Ciggaratte EVER! Quitting today onwards. Steph im doing this for U =)
06.20pm- Walked glenn home
06.45pm- reached home
06.50pm- Blasted MB's music and used computer
07.05pm- Lk came to pass me ciggies, to help him keep. I've quitted YAY
07.10pm- Took at bath
07.30pm- Had dinner
07.45pm- Revived my blog.. using com
09.30pm- Amelia n josh wanted to meet for lunch before my NS
09.55pm- Brushed teeth
10.03pm- Blogged "My Boring Monday"
10.29pm- finish bloggin and pressed publish post in like 2 secs

Wow great, i live in Tampines and got posted to Jurong =( i mean there are other engineering camps in seletar and nee soon area which i would gladly enlist to. And its going to be a stay in unit, meaning i only get to book out once a week for my 2 whole years. Can't go out too often and flirt anymore.. haha. I've decided to name my rifle 'Stephy or Stephanie' whatever.. haha.
I heard from almost everyone that being in engineers, the training quite xiong. Being in Jurong camp, welfare almost non-existant, Jurong camp looking pretty rundown. Woah.. crap man
