2 Years On
Okay, i've literally left this blog untouched for almost 2 years! I'm going to rant on about how bitch it is to be a conscript soldier.Im still serving NS and it still sucks as usual. The only difference is, i'm left with april, may, june, july, august + a few more days, 5 more months to go before ORD!
Having done my offs and leave forecast. I'll have about 10 leaves, 18 to 20 day offs. And I'm barely touching them. I only need to use 16 days to clear one month, since most SAF units now practices 5 day work weeks. Formula for 1 month ORD clearance goes like
1 x Month = Offs(mon + tue + thur + fri) + Leaves(sat + sun) = 16 days
That is taking into consideration that i'll be coming back every weds, and not counting in public holidays. I should be at home most of the time somewhere around mid of july? And on 5th Sept, Friday.. Hahaha I'll stroll into camp and collect my PINK IC from 3DA's Battalion S1 office. They normally issue it around 3.30pm. Muahahaha!
But, arghh.. 3 and a half more months of work and duties before i can clear my leaves and offs!! I really hate that feeling of being there but not quite there yet, with reference to ORD. So near yet so far! Someone please knock me out and wake me up in september.
Robbing me of my youth and time at the prime of my life!! Paying me a few hundred bucks, making me slog my ass off day and night in peacetime, expect me to die for you in wartime.
Even a bangla sercurity guard, doing nothing, sitting the whole day under a swimming pool umbrella drinking coffee earns more than me.. Life as a NSF is cheap.
